Clean Energy Systems
American DG Energy primarily deploys two types of clean energy systems, combined heat and power and chiller cooling systems, to provide energy costs savings with environmental and economic benefits to our customers. With a nationwide installed base of thousands of systems, these clean energy technologies have been deployed at sites across the country for over 20 years and can easily fit a variety of applications.
Our packaged combined heat and power, also known as CHP or cogeneration, systems range from 60 to 800 kW and can be installed in or just outside your boiler room. We use only the most reliable technology on the market today to produce high-quality, clean electricity and hot water. The hot water is available to supplement your existing boilers for domestic hot water applications, space heating, laundries and heated swimming pools. Using this technology, we supply clean energy with efficiencies near 90 percent, compared with about 30 percent for traditional electric utilities. and the 60 percent efficiency for typical boilers, when adjusted seasonally.
Our packaged chiller cooling systems range from 50 to 1200 tons and can be installed in standard locations such as plant rooms or rooftops. We use only the most efficient chiller cooling systems available to provide you with high-performance air-conditioning and improved comfort at your properties. Our natural gas engine chillers offer you greater efficiency by supplying both cooling and hot water to supplement your existing boilers for domestic hot water applications, laundries and heated swimming pools.
Since both these clean energy systems offer better efficiencies, the result is lower energy costs for you and reduced greenhouse gas emissions for the environment. And because they are deployable today with a proven record of reliability, they are practical clean energy technology, producing superior comfort.
